Never in history has the pace and complexity of life accelerated as quickly as now.
Virtually everyone feels overloaded. Moreover, they expect their load to continually increase

antidotes to these kinds of pressures - the refreshing observance of the Lord's Day, the riches
of Christian community, and the simplicity of devotion to Christ.

I don't know why you can't comment on my entries with slide shows... sorry... :-/

Jess' Surprise Birthday Trip to San Antonio

For Jessica's 22nd birthday Mark and I planned a surprise trip for her. Nine of us went down to San Antonio on September 1st and 2nd. On Friday, Jess got ready to go out on a "date" with Mark, however, unknown to her we were scheming and planning a way to get her out of her house so I could go in and pack her bags for the weekend. ehehehe... Jonathan and I could hardly contain our excitement while we were with Jess early that afternoon as she was getting ready to meet Mark. Once she left, Mrs. Steele and I packed Jess' bags in like five minutes and Jonathan and I rushed out the door to get to Mark's house to meet the others traveling down with us. Mark brought Jess back to his house and we all jumped out and gave Jess the shock of her life. hehehe... she was so surprised! It was great!

Because of rush hour traffic and stuff, it took us about 5 1/2 hours to get to San Antonio...so we ended up leaving for the riverwalk about mid-night... it was pretty much dead... so we went back to the hotel and ordered pizza. However, before we left the hotel for the Riverwalk, us girls were getting ready in our room when we heard a commotion in the guy's room... haha... Adam had decided to do a front flip on his bed and broke the bed frame... ehehehehe... we all got a great laugh! Thanks to Scott's liquid nails and a few screws, the bed was better than new after about thirty minutes.

On Saturday we went to Schlitterbahn for most of the day. It was so much fun!!! Then afterwards we headed to the Gristmill for supper. YUM YUM!!! If you have never been there...you should definitely go!!!

The ride home seemed a lot faster than the ride there... but maybe that's because we slept most of the way... well... some of us at least... poor Mark, Adam, and Scott... they're the best... they had to drive. We also stopped off for a Wal-Mart stop on the way back where we bought the Princess Bride dvd to watch in the Tahoe and tons of candy. No trip is ever complete without a Wal-Mart stop.

I love road trips!
